The heatwave response took drinking water and immediate support into public spaces across Mirpur.
The project
Volunteers carried bottled drinking water into public spaces and offered it directly to rickshaw pullers and other people working outdoors during the heatwave.
The Dhaka team worked across Mirpur 11, Mirpur 12 and Mirpur DOHS. The public expenditure record also identifies water purchases by the Dhaka and Cumilla teams during the same campaign period.
The response focused on an immediate, time-sensitive need: helping people exposed to extreme temperatures stay hydrated while continuing their work.
